1. What to do if the device has no response?

For PS/2 Connection:

1. Turn off the PC first

2. Plug in the device when the PC is off

3. Turn on the PC when the device is plugged in

 

For USB Connection:

1. Plug in the USB cable when Windows is fully loaded

2. Connect the USB cable or ports with any adapter, hub, or switch is not recommended


If all connections are secured and one of the following issues takes place, then it could be a defective item:

Touchpad and the mouse click buttons have no response at all

The pins in the connector are bent or damaged

An error message indicates that the device is malfunction

An error message indicates that the device cannot be recognized

2. What to do if the device behaves strangely and where is the driver?

Please try to plug in the device into different USB ports directly without any USB hub or adapter, then install the driver.

The Glidepoint software can be found on the top of this page.

 If the device still doesn't work properly after the driver is installed, it could be a defective item.

3. What does GlidePoint Touchpad Driver do?

The GlidePoint Touchpad Driver enables complete navigational control of any graphical interface, packed in a space-saving, low-friction, and extremely durable touchpad. With the GlidePoint Control Center, the device can be custom configured with Tap and Corner-Tap functionality, Zoom In/ Out, Back/ Forward, Vertical/ Horizontal Scroll and more.

You must install the GlidePoint driver in order to customize your touchpad features. Please see the attachment below for more detailed installation steps.

4. What to do if GlidePoint Control Center cannot detect the device?

The Glidepoint driver can only work with direct connection; it will not find the touchpad through any adapter, hub, or switch.

 When using any adapter or hub, the touchpad can perform its basic functions (cursor movement, vertical scroll) but cannot access to any other advance settings. When using any switch such as KVM switch or port replicator with the USB connection for the keyboard, the touchpad might not be able to be recognized by the switch due to the chipset module inside the keyboard.

 


If the device still doesn't work properly when using with another PC, then it could be defective.

5. What to do if the device keeps loosing connection?

If you need to frequently connect your device, try the following:

Insert the connector directly into the port on the back of PC without any adapter, hub, or switch

Try the device with another PC to see if same issue persists

Plug the device as the instruction below:

1. Plug in the USB cable when Windows is fully loaded

2. Connect the USB cable or ports with any adapter, hub, or switch is not recommended


If the device still doesn't work properly when connected, then it could be a defective item.

6. What to do if the device is having trouble when tapping or dragging?

If you have difficulties clicking or using highlight operations by tapping on the touchpad's surface:

A light, quick tap will work the best. The touchpad does not require pressure, and hard taps ay actually slow down the performance. For more instruction on touchpad, please download the user's manual from the top of this page.

7. What to do if the tablet is proved to be defective?

Please go to RMA Online Request

Simply register and log in after you activate your account via email, you will see an online form for you. Kindly fill out the RMA form and submit it. One of our agents will take care of your case soon or contact Adesso RMA Dept. for more information.

 

Noted:

Please make sure that you have a copy of either the proof of purchase,  confirmation e-mail or receipt for RMA/ Warranty Services

If the device is purchased within 30 days from vendor other than Adesso Inc., the defective product needs to be returned/exchanged through the vendor

Adesso Inc. cannot exchange for upgrade or downgrade

Make sure you have the serial number and the model number of the product ready for a faster process

No shipments can be made to shipping addresses outside of the continental United States.

According to the company return policy, Adesso cannot accept any returns or exchanges outside the USA, which are not purchased from Adesso directly. The one year product warranty only covers inside of the continental United States; therefore, no shipments can be made to shipping addresses outside of the continental United States.
